Grabau, Germany – 8th January 2014
Hello friends, Today we went to a nice nature park near to Sülfeld.

First I saw this black alder. They have interesting roots, because they live in wetlands.

The park is great – here I had to solve a puzzle. What kind of tree will this be?

Then I saw this raised stand. What will I see from there?

I saw many different animals from there – can you see the biggest one – a boar?

And there – a badger!

I went closer to the badger.

And I met a relative.

There were many storms here in the last weeks – this tree felt down.

Then we went to this lovely lake.

I learnt a lot about the animals living here.

What a wonderful place.

On our way back to the car I talked with this funny woodpecker.

Then we found a place for long jump!

I was good – and jumped 1 meter!

We stopped at a slide.

This was fun!

Back home we found the pizza Murph sent to us! It looked so yummy!

Sülfeld, Germany – 11th January 2014
Hello, Today I had a surprise for my friend Helmutbluepant. A jigsaw with his famous flowers. Hopefully it won’t be too difficult for us. We started with one and it had 8 pieces.

He found the first piece for the right upper corner.

I found the piece for the buttom.

We were really proud!

After some time we nearly finished the jigsaw puzzle.

Done!

Can you recognize the plant? We searched another jigsaw!

This one looks great!

How many pieces should we choose?

My Mum RikeH promised to take 16.

So many pieces!!!

We worked the whole afternoon…

…and we were so happy when we finished it!

Then Helmut found another beautiful puzzle – with another Plumeria!

Unfortunately he chose the wrong number of pieces – 144! We were so sad, because it would be too difficult for us.

But RikeH was so nice to solve it for us! What a wonderful afternoon!

Sülfeld, Germany – 15th January 2014
Hello friends, The weather is awful most of the time at the moment – so we had to find something nice inside the house. We went to play billiards. First I explained the rules.

Then it was my time!

And I won 4:2!

Then I explored the room. I think that a horse lived here in the past.

I called my friend Murph – Stoker did it before, so Murph had a great afternoon, I think!

And this was a great place, too.

Sülfeld, Germany – 26th January 2014
Hello friends, The winter came to Sülfeld, so we had to take photos with some snow. Let’s start with this archaeological monument.

Some children wanted to use their sleighs behind me, but I think there was not enough snow.

Well – no sunshine on my stone, but I loved the light on the old school.

And the emblem of Sülfeld is beautiful, too.

My last stop was next to the church. A wonderful photo with a little snow and the sunshine.

I love the wintertime!
Sülfeld, Germany – 3rd February 2014
Hello friends, Today we had great weather, so we explored the surroundings of Sülfeld. What a wonderful sky with beautiful clouds!

But to tell the truth – it was really cold!

What a long way – maybe I should have stayed at home?

Fortunately we found a sunny place for a rest.

I loved this place – with a far view. Well, of course there are not really big hills here in Northern Germany.

And the small river here was nice, too.

The last photo shows my famous tree. Nice!

Sülfeld, Germany – 4th February 2014
Hello friends, The weather was fine today – time for another walk. I looked at the map, where we should go.

Let’s start with this lane.

The forest looked not too interesting now in the winter time.

But I found a little lake – or maybe only a snow field?

It was time for a rest.

Then I found a freshly cut tree

What a nice view – this time it was a real lake.

Can you see the ice on the small river? It is still cold in Germany.

Hamburg, Germany – 6th February 2014
Hello friends, Today I went to Hamburg – this lake is called Alster.

Behind me you can see the town hall.

And this is another nice view over the Alsterarkaden.

Look – what a beautiful postbox.

Here you can see the town hall again – a beautiful building.

There were funny trees next to it.

Hamburg, Germany – 13th February 2014
Hello friends, We went to the port of Hamburg today. I had a nice view from a place called Landungsbrücken.

What a nice tower.

On the other side of the Elbe River there are two musical halls – the left one is really new.

On the other side of the Elbe River there are two musical halls – the left one is really new.

Then we had a great idea – we jumped onto a small ferry to the building Elbphilharmonie. I had a nice view over the Elbe River.

Hamburg’s port is really beautiful.

We came near to the both musical halls.

Me in front of the skyline of the port.

This is the Elbphilharmonie – a very expensive building.

I looked to another part of the port – the cruise terminal – but there is no cruise ship today.

Another boat – it pushed another one.

And here is the part where they load and unload big ships.

It was a nice trip for us TVs, my Mum RikeH had a hard time, because it was really cold – and her fingers got so cold!
Hamburg, Germany – 20th February 2014
Hello friends, UrselHH and Charlotte arrived in Sülfeld.

I introduced them to my other guests.

I got delicious banana liqueur.

And Kleine Fee got some sweets from their holiday.

Today we took a trip to Hamburg. We went to the part of the Port called Speicherstadt. Many nice buildings are there.

Can you see us?

Here we are – Charlotte and Helmut – and Kleine Fee and me.

We saw two different anchors.

Behind us you can see the maritime museum.

We continued our walk – other beautiful old buildings.

This place is called Nikolai-Fleet.

What a wonderful day in Hamburg.

Barcelona, Spain – 23rd February 2014
Hello friends, Many greetings from the Cruise Ship AIDA Sol. We celebrated the start of our trip with delicious Champagne.
The first morning I met a friendly seagull sitting on the lamp next to our balcony.
Our first stop was Barcelona. Here you see the column of Columbus.
We stopped in the Gothic Part of the city – and saw the beautiful cathedral.
There was a little garden next to the cathedral and I loved the beautiful palm tree.
This is the placa del Rei.
We continued our trip on a bus. It was sunny – but we had a cold wind on the upper deck.
Our next stop was the big church Sagrada Familia. They still build it – it is a great building – we didn’t go into it, because there was a long waiting time to enter.
Here you see me in the wonderful Park Güell. It was constructed by the artist Gaudi, who planned the Sagrada Familia, too.
There were nice monuments with animals.
The most famous one is this dragon.
There is a long bench – we sat on it and enjoyed the sunshine.
No idea, why Gaudi constructed this funny way, but we liked it.
This is a nice building next to the entrance.
It was a great day in Barcelona.
Valencia, Spain – 24th February 2014
Hello friends, Today we went to a city called Valencia. We had wonderful sunshine.

Valencia has a lot of interesting buildings – these are the older ones.
AIDA Sol, on the ship – 25th February 201
Hello friends, We started our day on our balcony.
It was enough place for all of us and we talked a lot.
This is the view to the front of the ship – yes we are living in the front of the ship – just over the bridge.
There you can see the front of the ship.
On a cruise ship you spend a lot of time with eating – so it was time for some sports. We have a Power Plate in our cabin. First RikeH explained us how it works.
Then it started to shake…
…and we had to train our arms.
After that it was time to relax in the living-room.
This is the place where I write my updates.
And here I am sleeping – in the morning I can see the sea out of my bed – this is great!
Asilah, Morocco – 26th February 2014
Hello friends, We are in Africa now – in Tanger. I saw a ferry going to Spain, I think.
Can you remember the seagull I met in Barcelona, well – there was another friendly bird here in Tanger visiting me.
We went to a small city called Asilah. Behind me you see a religious building.
This was another tower…
… next to a nice place.
Next to the city there is a long beach – many children played soccer there.
This is the door to a palace, but we were not allowed to visit it.
Later we had this nice view over the city – but it was very windy.
My last photo shows a big wall – there were many of them here in Asilah.
Cadiz, Spain – 27th February 201
Hello friends, Back in Spain we were in Cadiz. This is the Plaza de Espana with a wonderful monument.
We walked around the city and had nice views over the sea and the promenade.
There was a very tall tree in one of the parks.
Cadiz has so many beautiful churches, this is one of it.
Another nice part of the promenade.
We went through the beautiful Parque Genoves.
Look, the gran teatro.
There were funny faces on the container for old bottles.

Later we walked through Lissabon. I loved this big arch.
The big place in front of it was nice, too.
On the place there was a big monument.
We walked to another place with a beautiful fountain…
… and a big monument. I loved the waves on the ground here.
There was a nice old elevator.
We couldn’t use the elevator, because we wanted to go to another part of the city. Next to a small church we found a lookout and saw our ship.
There was a big monastery far away.
Lissabon, Portugal – 1st March 2014
Hello friends, Today was an exciting day – we had a TV-meeting.
It was great to sit together and talk!
Poschti came on the Cruise with us so we had a welcome party this evening.
We had chocolate and fruits.
And Kleine Fee and I had our own bottles of Coke.
Then we all took one piece of fruit and one piece of chocolate.
It was a nice party, but then we were tired and went into our TV-bed.
Well – the others slept – I want to show you my gift from Eophippus. Thanks a lot!
Then we left Lissabon – and I went onto our balcony to see the city in the night.
La Coruna, Spain – 3rd March 2014
Hello friends, After a bumpy trip from Lissabon we arrived in La Coruna. I went onto my balcony and saw the lighthouse of La Coruna. It is the oldest lighthouse of the world, that is still in use.
Because of the stormy weather we will stay here for two days. Today we took a walk. Behind me you can see the harbor.
There were many small fisherboats.
From this point we had a good view of our Cruise Ship – it is really tall, isn’t it?
There was a fortress – nowadays it is a museum.
We saw big waves – maybe it is a good idea to stay a little longer in this town?
Believe it or not – only some steps from the water I found this sunny place with the beautiful flowers.
I found a nice church – but it is a museum now, too.
These houses with the balconies with glass in front of it are typical for La Coruna.
This is the town hall – really nice.
Back on the ship I stood on the balcony – can you see the fortress behind me – there we went.
And I want to show you this – every evening we got these chocolates – a Cruise is wonderful.
AIDA Sol, on the ship – 5th March 2014
Hello friends, I told you about the bumpy trip to la Coruna. We took some photos of it, but I forgot to update it. So here can you see me and my friends looking out of the window. Here you can see nothing from the rough sea…
But now you can see more – the waves!
I went onto the balcony and saw the waves on the side of the ship.
Today the weather was much nicer!
Later I went onto the pool-deck.
There was a big screen on the deck!
Here you can see the name of the cruise line.
Le Havre, France – 6th March 2014

We wanted to see a nicer town and went to Honfleur. There was a beautiful harbor!
We visited a big wooden church.
Here you can see the tower of it.
There were many old buildings in the town.
Later we continued our trip and went to Deauville. This is the promenade next to the beach. The clothing rooms are named after famous movie stars.
We walked along the beach – it was wonderful! I thought about Amrum here!
There were funny houses in the city.
This is a hotel – I would love to spend a night there!
Au revoir Dicker Kumpel

This is the theatre inside the ship.
This is one of many bars on the ship.
Yesterday I forgot to show you these romantic photos – I had a great time with Kleine Fee.
Hopefully the weather will be nice tomorrow, because we want to have nice views when we arrive in Hamburg. Love
Hamburg, Germany – 8th March 2014
Hello friends, Great news, we had lovely weather when we arrived in Hamburg. It was so great to arrive in the port on the Elbe river.
Will I see a nice sunrise?
Yes, there it was!
Far behind me you see a big bridge.
Hamburg is a really beautiful city!
There were two theaters for musicals – the left one is not open yet.
We spent our last hours on the ship relaxing on our balcony.
It was a really wonderful cruise. I just decided to go on another Cruise this year! Love Dicker Kumpel
Sülfeld, Germany – 15th March 2014
Hello Mum, Back in Germany we had lovely weather, so today it was time for a walk.

The nature starts now – because it is springtime.

It was nice to sit in the sunshine with my friends.

Soon there will be some swans on the lake.

We came along another beautiful small lake.

This is my famous tree. We all have to take photos with it every time we see it.

Back home we saw the German flag.

This stone stands in front of my house!

Look, the first flowers arrived!

Bad Oldesloe, Germany – 22nd March 2014
Hi friends, We went to a small town called Bad Oldesloe. This is the biggest church here.

I went into it – there were colorful windows.

I met two wooden men.

There was a big organ. Sadly nobody was there to play it.

Then I came to a nice water wheel.

I learnt a lot about it on this sign.

Sülfeld, Germany – 29th March 2014
Hello friends, The weather was great today, so we played in the garden. I am a great gardener and I want to show my girl-friend Kleine Fee some of my flowers.

We loved this forest of yellow flowers!

These flowers were so nice, too.

Blue flowers are great, too.

Springtime is one of the best time of the year!
Sülfeld, Germany – 5th April 2014
Hello friends, It was time for some sports – and we decided to play billiards. I explained the rules.

And I showed the others how to play.

Poschti and I played 6:6.

Then I explored the room. A horse lived here in the Past, I guess.

Then had a long call with my best friend [tv]Murph[/tv] and told him, that DottyCroc will come and visit him!

Sülfeld, Germany – 6th April 2014
Hello friends, Kleine Fee and I sat on the table under these beautiful flowers today.

Then my Mum brought us a gift and an Easter card. It was from Murph, my best friend.

Although it was not Easter, we were allowed to read the card…

… and open the gift.

Wow a game, it is a memory game with chocolate. Who find the pairs is allowed to eat the chocolate. We will play it soon with my guests.

Thanks Murph!
Sülfeld, Germany – 12th April 2014
Hello friends, As you know I received a game from my friend Murph – and today we wanted to play it.

There were some chocolate bars with photos of wild animals on it. Well – a nice game – looking at photos.

But it was not that easy. They were turned on the wrong side and you can turn two. If they were the same photos you won the chocolate, if not you turn it again – and search new pairs, when it’s your turn. First I found two different animals.

It really was not an easy game. I had to find another giraffe.

Where could it be?

I was hopeless – I am not good in games like this. But then my girl-friend Kleine Fee came and helped me.

Together we found the two giraffes.

When we finished the game I was really good with four pairs – well – maybe Kleine Fee was good with four pairs, she is such an intelligent bunny!

Because we won the most pairs we shared two pieces of chocolate with the others.

It was yummy, Murph!

Sülfeld, Germany – 20th April 2014
Hello friends, Happy Easter! Today it is the Day of the Bunnies! We all sat in the sunshine and waited for my mum RikeH.

She arrived and told us that the Easter Bunny has been here – and we could start searching for some sweets!

I found some chocolate!

Then we went to another part of the garden – here we should have a race for eggs.

We all were ready to run!

Look – I won the second place!

Later we found this great plant – chocolate lollipops are growing in it!

A great place – and we wanted to send Birthday wishes to a very special friend! Happy Birthday my good friend Helmutbluepant!

This was the first part of Easter – tomorrow we will meet the Eater Bunny!

Sülfeld, Germany – 21st April 2014
Hello friends, Today was an exciting day, too. We went to visit my grandma. Many bunnies were living there.

We loved these beautiful flowers!

And we met these hens – I think they worked hard for Easter.

Maybe these were the children of the hens?

Then we met the Easter Bunny. This was so great – it was very nice and friendly.

When we came back to my home we went into the garden and saw two beautiful trees.

And I really like this yellow plant!

Grabau, Germany – 3rd May 2014
Hello friends, We went to another village today – called Grabau. There we saw a lot of big stones and learnt a lot about their history.

Behind me you can see one of the big stones.

We rested on another stone.

Then we went into the forest – time for a kind of safari. We will go into this house and look for wild animals.

There was a deer.

And a bunny! Far away!

And I found a small animal.

You remember that I saw a bunny – I went closer – and it was a friendly bunny!

I even met a boar – he was huge!

We continued our walk and went to a nice lake – the Hohendammer Mühlenteich. I learnt a lot about the animals here, too.

Many bird live here – maybe we will see some.

We were really quiet and saw some nice birds.

What a great place!

Sülfeld, Germany – 10th May 2014
Hello friends, Today was a great day – Murph and his guests will come and visit us. We waited.

Then they arrived.

It was great to see them all.

Murph brought gifts for all of us!

Kleine Fee and I got the biggest gifts!

We opened it!

Wonderful and yummy!

I planned a game for us – how exciting!

I explained the rules. We played with the dice.

Everyone who has a six put the cap and the scarf on like this. Then he or she was allowed to ‘fight’ with the wrapped chocolate. This seems to be funny. Let’s start.

I threw the dice – unfortunately no 6…

The next time there was a 6 – I took the cap and the scarf – and here I go.

Look, Murph looked really funny with the hat and scarf!

After the game we all ate sweets – yummy!

Later Murph showed me this great card that Soeren sent to him, maybe I will get a postcard of one of my guests in the future too?

Grabau, Germany – 11th May 2014
Hello friends, Today I went to the forest in Grabau. I’ve been there just two weeks ago, but Murph wanted to visit it – and of course I went with him, his guests and Buderus. First we sat on this great stone.

There was a lake near to it, so the trees live in the water.

We all loved this view.

I learnt a lot about trees and nature here.

Maybe I will become a nature musician in the future!

Then it was time to look out for animals. I went into this house.

There was a deer in the forest.

I went near to it and it was a friendly deer – I was allowed to sit on its head!

And I saw a wolf!

Then we went to the lake – we saw a lot of birds there.

It was so great to spend some time with Murph, my best friend.

Our last stop was this wooden wigwam.

On our way back home we stopped next to a maypole.

It was Mother’s day today, so I bought a nice flower for RikeH.

Later it was time to say goodbye to Murph and the others.

Fortunately Kleine Fee and I will meet Murph soon again.

Hamburg, Germany – 21st May 2014
Hello friends, I went to Hamburg today. Here you see me next to the lake Alster in the middle of Hamburg

Next to it I saw the town hall – a nice building. Maybe you see the cars of the firefighters? There was a big meeting of young firefighters in the town.

Many swans are living here.

Here you see the town hall again – well, maybe you see me better than the building…

On the MS Artania – 01.07.2014
Hello friends, I am on a Cruise-Ship again. This time it is the MS Artania – and here you see my cabin.
Today was an important day – Poseidon came onto the ship, because we crossed the Arctic Circle. He was the man in green on the balcony.
Some of his friends came too – strange people.
Many of the humans went there to get a ‚Polartaufe‘– polar christening – we didn’t want it.
But I received this certificate that I crossed the Arctic Circle!
Leknes, Lofoten, Norway – 02.07.2014
Hello friends, After two days on the ship I saw the coast of the Lofoten in Norway. Great, wasn’t it?
We had wonderful weather.
We stopped at two look-outs and saw our ship far away.
Then we went to a place, where Vikings lived in the past – but first I saw a modern church.
This is the house of the Vikings.
Well – I prefer my bed on the ship.
Behind me you can see the dried fish they used to eat.
I was brave on this strange animal.
We sat in the sunshine and relaxed.
What a great country!
Tromsö, Norway – 03.07.2014
Hello friends, We arrived in the morning in Tromsö, the sky was grey, but I was sure that it would be better later this day.
There was an icebreaker, but fortunately we didn’t need it.
Later that morning we went to the botanical garden of Tromsö. There were many beautiful flowers from different mountain regions of the world.
This one was really big.
And this one was really blue.
I found a small waterfall.
And a lovely lake.
Do you know this cottongrass?
In the afternoon we went onto a hill and had great views over the city and the surroundings.
This was funny!
Another view to other mountains.
Our last stop was at this wonderful church, called Eismeerkathedrale – Arctic Cathedral.
What a wonderful day!
Spitzbergen,Magdalenenfjord, Norway – 05.07.2014
Hello friends, We spent a day on the sea and today we arrived in Spitzbergen – and visited the Magdalenenfjord – a great place.
I called my girl-friend Kleine Fee, because it was so beautiful here.
There was a big glacier behind me.
A few minutes later the sun came out – and it even looked better here.
The sky, the mountains, the glacier – everything looked great!
We couldn’t stop taking photos.
After two hours we left the fjord.
I went onto our balcony and had great views there, too.
Goodbye Magdalenenfjord.
Ny Alesund, Spitzbergen, Norway – 05.07.2014
Hello friends, We stopped at another nice place called Ny Alesund. The surrounding was beautiful.
Ny Alesund is a research town and has an all-year permanent population of 30 to 35, with the summer population reaching 120.
I don’t think that I would love to live here.
But it could be nice to live in colourful houses next to glaciers.
Look, you can see our ship behind me.
We went back to the ship and had a drink at this nice place.
Longyearbyen, Spitsbergen, Norway – 06.07.2014
Hello friends, Our next stop was Longyearbyen – the largest settlement and the administrative center of Svalbard, Norway. As of 2008, the town had a population of 2,040. Longyearbyen is located in the valley of Longyeardalen and on the shore of Adventfjorden, a bay of Isfjorden located on the west coast of Spitsbergen.
Some relicts from the time of coal mining here.
We saw the church.
And we were allowed to go into it.
Wow – what is this – I would love to ride a scooter.
I found one!
I met some animals from the region.
And an ice bear!
They have their own sign here.
A wonderful view of our ship!
We continued our trip and passed Barentsburg – it is the second largest settlement on Svalbard, with about 500 inhabitants (2007), almost entirely Russians and Ukrainians. The Russian-owned Arktikugol has been mining coal here since 1932.
We had a great time here in the Spitsbergen.
North Cape, Norway – 07.07.2014
Hello friends, It was time to go back into the South, so we went to the North Cape. We should have seen it from the seaside, but look at this. Fog around the ship. Behind me there was the North Cape.
Later we arrived in Honningsvag, there was sunshine and fog.
This was the view to the other direction.
But we left the ship and went to the North Cape. On our way we stopped and saw Niels and his reindeer.
It was really funny – we drove more than 30 minutes through the fog, and when we reached the North Cape the sun was there. Do you know this globe behind me?
There was still fog on the Sea.
There were other monuments in this area.
This monument shows the direction to the North Pole.
My last view to the North Cape, believe it or now, it was 11 p.m. in the night and the sun was still that bright.
Back on the ship I got this certificate that I reached the North Cape!
Rörvik, Norway – 09.07.2014
Hello friends, We started our day, relaxing on our balcony.
We arrived in a small place called Rörvik.
There were nice colourful houses.
And a small harbour.
I found two nice statues.
There was a bigger one – with a bird on her head.
A nice view of our ship – It was so hot here today – more than 32 degrees Celsius.
This was the view to the other direction.
Look, this was the welcome of our ship!
Later we left Rörvik.
Behind me you can see a farm for salmons.
Geirangerfjord, Norway – 10.07.2014
Hello friends, It was a great day today – we will visit the really famous Geiranger-Fjord. In the morning we had a short stop in Alesund and I saw a ship from the Hurtigruten. It was really foggy at this time.
Later that day we saw some people of the ship – they were good in ice-carving.
What a beautiful swan.
We continued our trip and saw many nice fjords! And the sun, of course.
Look, another Hurtigruten-Ship.
Then we saw the entrance to the Geiranger Fjord with some waterfalls.
This one is called Seven Sisters.
What a wonderful place!
We loved the views in the Geiranger Fjord.
There were some other ships in it.
We left the ship and jumped into a bus – and drove to the top of the mountain Dalsnibba (1495m). We had great views to the fjord and in the wonderful nature.
This was another viewpoint – closer to the Fjord – and you can see our ship in it.
Time to drive a street called Eagle-Street. It had 11 serpentines.
Now we saw the fjord with our ship from the other side.
We left and drove along the waterfall again. Well, you can see it good on this photo.
But of course this is the better photo, don’t you think so?
Bye Bye Geiranger Fjord!
Bergen, Norway – 11.07.2014
Hello friends, We arrived in Bergen – a nice sunny city in Norway. I cannot understand why the cruise-director told us something about a city with the most rainy days in Europe…
In the morning we walked through the old city with nice colored houses.
These houses were bigger, but beautiful, too.
There was a castle in the middle of the city.
It was really nice.
In the afternoon we drove to a place, where the musician Edvard Grieg lived. He had a great nature around his house.
This was his house.
And in this small cottage he wrote his songs.
And this was the place where he relaxed.
Look, another typical house for Norway.
Then we went to a church called stave church.
We went inside – I love the wooden things here.
We walked around the church – it was really interesting!
Back on the way to our ship we stopped in Bergen and had a last photo with these wonderful houses.
On the ship, Norway – 12.07.2014
Hello friends, It was our last day on the ship – and I just walked around and want to shop you some nice places here. We had nice weather again.
People were sitting in the Kopernikus Bar and enjoyed their lives.
A really beautiful ice sculpture.
This place is called the atrium – you can find the reception here – and more important – the entrance to our famous restaurant!
We had a great cruise – and I loved being on this ship.
Yours Dicker Kumpel
