Hi, Landroval arrived in Germany. I gave him a warm welcome.
I introduced him to some other nice guys here – we will go on a holiday together next week.
We talked a lot – and he told us a lot about Canada. Then he showed us his foot.
We all loved the nice Tattoo on it. Then we all showed our feet – I think that mine is the nicest, although I have no Tattoo on it.!

Sülfeld, Germany – 14th January 2010
Hi from snowy Sülfeld, We have winter here in Germany now. I wanted to show Sülfeld in the snow to you. So we made a nice walk this Monday. This is the old school.
The church is so beautiful in the snow – and the pharmacy is on the other side of the street.

I had a great idea – I should build a snowman. It was hard work for a little ToyVoyager like me.
But look, he is great, isn’t he?
Well – I really love him…
Or at least his nose – maybe I should visit him in the night, when all the others are sleeping…
And look, who is back. My good old friend Murph. I am so happy that he is here again.

Hamburg- ?, Germany – 16th January 2010
Hi from ???, today we started our trip. It was very early in the morning – and snowy. Look – what I saw. Not much,
We went from Hamburg to Frankfurt with a fast train called ICE-Train. It has nothing to do with the weather in Germany at the moment. Here you see all of us together.
We all got something to eat :

When we arrived at the airport we were too early for the check-in. So we waited and watched the queue for the Emirates Flight. We needed another airline, but I will tell you later, where we went. SURPRISE!!!
When we waited to board the plane, we went to a place where we were able to see the planes.
Look – there is our plane coming.
I had a place at the window – it was a wonderful view!
I had a delicious dinner – fresh fish with rice and vegetables.
It went dark outside – the sky was so beautiful!
I can tell you that we had a safe landing and stay in a nice hotel. But I won’t tell you now, where I am. Greetings Dicker Kumpel
Umm Qeis, Jordan – 17th January 2010
Hello from Jordan, on this photo you can see, where I spend this holiday – in Jordan.
We started in Amman and went through the city. They write with nice letters here.
We went to Umm Qeis, to the Ruins of the old town Gadara. First we saw the Amphitheatre.
Here we were:
I had a great view from my place.
Then we went to another place – there was a Basilica in the past.
From this place I could see Israel and Syria. I saw the Sea of Galilee and the Golan Heights. Really interesting.
On the tour to the next place I saw a supermarket – I love the letters here!
The next historical place was called Pella.
This was a marble column – I loved the color.
We drove to a very interesting place – called the Dead Sea. It is 422 m below the sea level – this was strange. The humans behaved really strange there – they put something black on their skins, waited ten minutes, and then went into the water. I didn’t understand it.
After the long time inside the bus I decided to take a rest and I enjoyed the sun on the beach.
Later we had a picnic with delicious Hamburgers on the beach.
What a great first day in Jordan.
Amman, Jordan – 18th January 2010
Hello again from Jordan, Today was a great day for Jordan. Not only that I visited the country, but it was raining.
They don’t have many rain here, so we were happy for the Jordan People and decided to visit a Museum of Archeology. Here you can see some intersting things.
This was the view from the entrance of the Museum – the Temple of Hercules behind me.
We went to the big Amphittheater of Amman – I love these old buildings.
Next to it was another nice museum. We saw there, how the people in Jordan lived in the past.
We went through Amman and the souk. Here I was in front of a Mosque.
They sold delicious fruits and vegetables here.
Another old building.
We went to another great place – called Jerash. It is a very big old city – wonderful. We walked around there for 2 hours. First a Gate…

…the Nympheum…
and the oval place from a hill.
A really great place to visit – and the rain stopped, when we were there. Back home in the hotel we all drank soft drinks. We were not able to read, what it was, but it was jummy.
After it Nasse shared his sweets with us – funny pig-sweets.
Another really great day here. It is so nice to be a ToyVoyager!!!
Madaba, Jordan – 19th January 2010
Hello from Madaba, today we left Amman and drove south. First we visited the Mount Nebo, a mountain where – according to the Bible, the prophet Moses is believed to have died. We had a great view from the top.
There was a beautiful mosaic – normally in a church – but now in a tent.
Look – what a big stone – in memorial of Moses.
After having a great time on the hill – with really beautiful views, we drove to Madaba. The city is best known for its Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics, expeciallaya large Byzantine-era mosaic map of the Holy Land. We went into the Greek Orthodox Basilica of Saint Georg, where the famous mosaic is.
Then we drove through a gorgeous landscape.
We stopped to look into the Wadi Mujib.
One hour later we came to Kerak, known for its famous Crusader Castle.
We visited it – it was wonderful – I would love to be a knight, I think.
In the evening we sat outside the room in the hotel and talked a lot. This time we ate the Snickers from Landroval.
Petra , Jordan – 20th January 2010
Hello from Petra, today we visited one of the most famous places in Jordan, it is a city called Petra – a Unesco World Heritage Site. First we had to walk through the Siq – a dark narrow gorge.
At the end of the Siq we had this view of Al Khazneh (the Treasury).
Here I am in front of the Treasury.
Here you see many tombs in the stone.
They had an amphittheatre, too.
We climbed up 200 stairs to visit the big Urn Tomb – and had a great view from the place.
There were donkeys here.
We went into an old church and saw some mosaics. I found a bunny. We were very important in the older times, I think.
We decided to make a long walk – about 800 stairs!!! But I was happy – RikeH put me in her bag, so I didn’t had to walk all the way on my short legs. Some expressions from the way.
A really steep gorge:
This is the place we wanted to see – El Deir (the Monastery). It was great!
On our way back we had nice views, too.
Back in the valley the sun came – and we saw all in different colors.

We had a delicious dinner in the evening – very important after the long interesting day!
Wadi Rum, Jordan – 21st January 2010
Hello from Wadi Rum, we had so much fun today. We made a trip with a Jeep through the Wadi Rum. We learnt that they made the Movie Lawrence from Arabia here. I never heart of it before. But the nature was nice. On our way to the Wadi Rum, we stopped at a nice place and saw the Valley of Petra. It was wonderful.

We drove really fast and enjoyed the nature around. There was another Jeep behind us, but we were in the leading team.
Our first stop – nice mountains and writing on the walls.
The second stop – with a beautiful gorge.
We stopped in front of a big Dune.
We walked onto the top of it – and had a great view.
What a wonderful day !
Aqaba, Jordan – 22nd January 2010
Hello from Aqaba, Today is the last day in Jordan. We will relax in the hotel. Here you see me sitting on the balcony – and the view from our balcony. Wonderful!
We went through the garden and found beautiful flowers.
Outside we saw these nice young dogs.
Back in the hotel we wanted to drive on this funny bike, but we are not allowed, because we TVs were too young.
So we decided to relax and enjoy the last evening.

Bad Oldesloe, Germany – 5th February 2010
Hello from cold Germany, a new guest arrived two days ago. She is called Agatha and came from Canada. I gave her a warm welcome – it is nice to have another bunny here!
We talked a lot – and she showed a viewcard from her country.
Today we decided to drive to a nice small town. It is called Bad Oldesloe. RikeH went to school there – many many years ago. They have a nice river there. I liked it – and saw some funny ducks in the water and on the ice.
This is the townhall. It was not so easy to take this photo, because the ground was very icy.

Helau from Germany, a new guest arrived – his name is Libbs and he is from Singapore. I gave him a warm welcome – he is so small.
Then I introduced him to the others.
Today we will have a great time – it is Carnival Monday. So I searched for a nice hat. RikeH offered three different ones.
I decided to take the green one.
Then I watched the parade in the TV.
The people in the parade threw sweets – called Kamelle… and I cought some.
I had so many…
I shared the sweets with my friends.

Hello from Hamburg, today we went to Hamburg again. We went there with the train.
I looked out of the window. Still winter here in Germany…
We went to the Alster – a big lake in the centre of Hamburg.
The weather wasn’t very nice. So we decided to eat something delicious in a chinese restaurant.

Hello Hello, we went to Hamburg today. We hoped for better weather. Here you see us in the train.
I helped RikeH to write some postcards – they were really beautiful.
After it I looked out of the window. There was still snow outside.
I jumped around in the train – but it was not allowed, so RikeH put me in this funny net.
We wanted to explore the city, but the weather was awful. So we went into a big mall in the middle of Hamburg. We saw a shop with many nice toys – maybe one of them will become a TV, too?
This was the mall – really big!
Then I played on the piano – my music was wonderful.
From a bookstore we had a look on the Alster – maybe we will come back some day – and walk around it. To tell the truth – I have been there many times. 😀
In the evening we started in the main train station.

Hello from Hamburg, today Snuttig and I had a great evening. We went to Hamburg by car.
First we had a delicious meal in a restaurant with food from Pakistan. Great fish…
and some meat.
We talked a lot by candlelight.
Later we went into a theater called Alma Hoppes Lustspielhaus.
There was the stage.
We had something nice to drink – and a wonderful funny evening.

Hello hello, because the weather outside is horrible, we had to stay inside the house. But RikeH offered us delicious cakes. Look, they are really big.
It’s too cold outside – there were’nt any tulips, but we had some inside. They were wonderful.

Amrum, Germany – 6th March 2010
Hello from Amrum, today we started our trip to Amrum Island – a nice German Island in the North Sea. We drove some hours – unfortunately the winter came back yesterday, but we arrived safe on the Coast – and saw our Ferry – called Schleswig-Holstein.
Here you see me inside – with the typical greeting – Moin Moin.
I went outside – the weather was sunny – but it was cold.
We stopped at another Island, called Föhr. Some people left the Ferry, but we went on to Amrum.
What a great trip. I will write more from Amrum soon.

Moin Moin, we made our first walk on Amrum. Here you see me in front of a typical house. They are so beautiful.
Then we went to the Dunes.
I enjoyed my time on a beach chair.
They had nice paths out of wood in the Dunes.

Moin Moin from Amrum, today we explored Norddorf, the village, where we live. First we saw this funny stone. The language is not German, but the language from Amrum.
In this gate is written – better dead than slave. We say – better travelling than staying at home.
One of the wonderful old houses here.
We went into a nice café. I had a nice apple pie. And a hot chocolate with Grand Marnier. It was so yummy.
On our way back we saw another great house.
Amrum, Germany – 11th March 2010
Moin Moin, we went to Nebel and visited the church.
We went inside and spent some time there. We thought of a very good friend. Tobi, we miss you and we will never forget you.
Outside are interesting tombstones. The life stories of the dead people are written on the stones. We read a few.
Then we walked through the village – and saw some nice old red houses.
There was a beautiful wind mill.
We saw two old white houses – both colours are nice – and we loved the thatched roofs.

Moin Moin, today we went to Norddorf and walk through the Dunes – there is a big lake. First we went along the Promenade and saw the Sea.
Here you see the wooden Path we were walking on.
This is the beautiful lake inside the Dunes.
Look – there is still ice on it. It is a really cold winter – and now spring here in Germany.
I hang around in the Dunes. It was great.

Moin Moin, it was a very cold day outside, so I decided to have a nice evening in front of the fireplace. First I had to work for it.
Then I had a relaxed evening – it was warm – and comfortable.

Moin Moin, I want to show you some nice things in the flat we are living. Some beautiful mussels.
A nice lighthouse. There are many lighthouses in this part of Germany.
Two strange fishes. They are able to live outside the water.
And here are two funny bunnies. They are sitting in an egg-sleigh and have fun all the day.

Amrum, Germany – 15th March 2010
Hello from Amrum, RikeH asked us, where we wanted to go today. So we took the map of Amrum Island and had a look. We decided to walk to the highest point of Amrum
Here you see me on the highest Dune – it is 32 m high. This was the way we walked on.
A nice view over the other Dunes.
I saw Norddorf in the distance.
RikeH gave me a coin – so I looked through this telescope. I saw the North Sea – amazing.
On our way back we stopped in a nice cafe. I had a delicious hot chocolate with advocaat and a yummy tart of raspberries.
Amrum, Germany – 16th March 2010
Hello from the North Sea, we went to the beach. The beach is very long here on Amrum – and not too many people walk here. We had a nice view of the beach.
I collected some mussels. They are so beautiful.
We went near to the North Sea – I had to be careful because I didn’t want to get wet feet.
Look – sea-gulls are living here.
Back home I tried something special for this region. It is called Küstennebel – and really delicious.

Hello again, We went into the Dunes – I wanted to show the others the wonderful lake. The lake is wonderful again – there was still some ice on it. And this time it was sunny!
There was a wooden way on this side of the lake.
The lake looked nice from another point next to it.
The path went through the Dunes – we had nice views from the highest point.

Hello from Amrum, We went to a nice little harbour. There are colorful houses.
We saw the Sea and a ship in the harbour.
These are big red buoys here – they get a new color, I think.
After it we went on a big playground. Here you see us together.
I had so much fun!
There were sheep next to the playground. Many sheep are living in this region of Germany.

Hello Mum, today we visited an interesting place called Vogelkoje,
The birds came to this nice sea – and felt good.
But sometimes they went into this cage – and were caught by the people here – this is not fair…
But nobody does it anymore today. We went to another nice place then – a small lighthouse. You can see it behind me – far away.
We were in front of it, but RikeH forgot to take a photo of me. The lighthouse was so beautiful – I want to show it to you – so we show the photo of my friend Snuttig.

Moin Moin Our last day on Amrum Island – we were all sitting together and talked a lot.
Most of the others will leave us and our Host RikeH tomorrow. We are the lucky ones and can stay here for more days! We celebrated the last day on Amrum drinking a delicious bottle of wine.

Hello Hello, we drove to Hamburg today.
In the train we read a book…
and had a look out of the window.
We went around the lake called Alster. The weather was nice – many people were there.
I saw many nice ducks.

Hamburg, Germany – 29th March 2010
Hummel Hummel, Because Snuttig wants to see the main attractions we went to Hamburg again. This is one of the most famous buildings in Hamburg, the church Michel.
Near to it is a modern building.
I saw this funny monument – it shows something from the Easter Islands.
We took a photo of the Church Michel from the distance.
Then we went to the Port of Hamburg. A really interesting place. We saw different kinds of ships.
Another interesting monument.
That was me in front of the old sailing ship Rickmer Rickmers.
Later we went into a café. We saw a nice piece of cake.
And a delicious cappuccino.
I jumped out of the bag and enjoyed this meal!
Back home there were two new ToyVoyagers. I gave a warm welcome to both of them. This is Charlie from Portugal.

Of course I started to search. First I looked under the arm chair, but I didn’t see anything.
I walked around – and look what I saw…
A great success. Minutes later I jumped onto the table. There were beautiful flowers.
But it was no time to admire the flowers. I had to search Eggs – and look – behind the flowers were more sweets.
I went back to my place – I found so many sweets – wonderful.
In the afternoon we had some delicious cakes – they were really big, but I ate one!

There were nice big trees here.
I sat in the sun – although you cannot see it on the photo – and relaxed.
We found a nice small river – lovely in both directions.
In the afternoon we visited RikeH[/usr]’s Mum – and met the Easter Bunny. He was so nice!
I found other funny bunnys.
There was a hen and her children.
We loved it there. Two of our friends will go to their next hosts. I said good-bye to both of them. Good-bye Snuttig

First I looked out of the window…
…then I helped to write some postcards.
In Hamburg the weather wasn’t so nice, but we went to the Town Hall. A wonderful building.
We went to the other side of the Town Hall.
On the way back to the place where RikeH works we saw these nice Arcades.
In the evening we went to see a game of handball.This is outside of the hall.

Our team won 31:19 – it was a great day and evening!

The yellow is beautiful.
We went to the Lake – can you see the Monument? It is an Apache.

After the walk went to eat some icecream – it was delicious.
Hamburg, Germany – 20th May 2010
And these Easter Bunnys. They were out of chocolate, and were not able to talk with me.
The it was time to go to the Terminal. Look what happened – the ship was in the wrong direction for a nice photo. I would have loved to see the front. I’ve been here, when the QM2 was here – she was much bigger.
But now here was only this small ship – so I looked over the Port.
We walked over the ground there – two nice buildings.
We managed to have another look at the ship – but it was not so easy – and I made a little nonsense, when RikeH tried to take a nice picture.
We went to a playground and played on this great ship.
After playing I was able to make some more sightseeing. There are nice new and modern buildings in this part of the Port.
Here are new buildings and old ships – really interesting.
They will build a big theatre for classical music. Here were some informations about it – and you see me here – listening to some music.
We went back to work – to tell the truth, only RikeH worked – but on our way we saw these beautiful old buildings. Hamburg is a really wonderful city.

We went into the theatre – and found out that we were not allowed to take photos. But one should be okay, before it started…
I had so much fun and laughed a lot – and not only because of the Mai Tai. Back home we had a look in the web – and look – this was the funny man – called Jürgen von der Lippe.
A nice evening. It is great to be a Toyvoyager.

then the purple one.
After it we played a funny game – it is called Plumpsack – we had so much fun – you see me running aound the others – a great afternoon.

I looked out of the train window – it is beautiful out there.
Here you can see me in front of the famous church Michel in Hamburg. I know, you love this church.
And there was this funny statue next to it.
Later we went to the Port. There were a lot of ships.
The white ship is the Cap San Diego – in the other direction you can see a big sailing ship – called Rickmer Rickmers.
Two other nice views of the port – I really loved it.
Home in Sülfeld it was time to say good-bye to some of our friends. They got a big hug!

We went onto another chair – closer to the TV. It started really well for Germany – with a first goal. We all sat there, but Topple is so big that you maybe cannot see all of me. Topple arrived two days ago – a really friendly TV from Russia.
But here I am alone. RikeH took the photo when it was time for the second goal for Germany
Germany won 4 :0. So RikeH’s boy-friend was very happy! We celebrated it back on our chair – and this time Nori celebrated it with us.

Malchow, Germany – 18th June 2010
Hi from Malchow, I had birthday this week.
We decided to celebrate it – and made a nice trip this week-end. We drove to Malchow. The first place we visited was a nice big forest where a family of Barbary Apes are living. It was fun to watch them.

Hello from Malchow again, on Saturday we played in the garden of the Hotel. There was a nice pavilion with music.
You can see our hotel in the background.
Look – there is a nice little river in the garden – I put my feet into it. It was pretty cold.
After playing in the garden, we all relaxed in this great chair – next to the Fleesensee.

Hello from Malchow and Plau, look – we had nice flowers in our room.
But we had to leave. Before we drove back to Sülfeld we decided to work on one of Captain Caramel’s Life Missions and we made a nice trip with a boat. Here you see me on the boat.
It was too cold outside, so we decided to go into the boat.
It was nice to see the nature outside – and sit in the warm room.
In another small city called Plau am See we made a short walk and saw the town hall.

Passau, Germany – 26th June 2010
Hello, yesterday I met a nice guy in the garden. He is called Bussi.
We talked about Toyvoyagers and he wanted to become one. I invited him on a trip on the River Danube. He agreed and came with me.
I introduced him to the others.
Today we started our trip. We drove with a really fast train called ICE to Passau. Here you see us having lunch.
This is inside the train – we drove really fast sometimes – about 200 km/h.
I looked out of the window. It was really interesting.
I won’t be online for many days now. But don’t worry, I am safe on the ship.
Passau, Germany – 27th June 2010
Hello from Passau, we will start our trip in the afternoon – and decided to made a walk in Passau in the morning. It was really hot. There are three rivers in Passau – here is one of it.
Here is the place where the rivers flow together. We enjoyed the view and relaxed in the sun.
This it the way we will go in the afternoon.

Look at these wonderful flowers.
There is a big castle in Passau.
and a colorful town hall.
It was so hot – I needed more water – fortunately there was a fountain.
Later we went onto the ship – I will show photos of it later. But look what happened when RikeH opened the luggage.
We found Topple and Captain Caramel.
We were really happy that they come with us!!! (not sure about RikeH…)

Vienna , Austria – 28th June 2010
Hi from Vienna, great News – we went to the Zoo today. First we saw this beautiful buildung.
There were really big hippos – lying lazy in the sun. RikeH forgot to take a photo of me – so I want to show a photo of my friend Bussi and the hippos.
The rhino was really big, too.
huh – really big birds – all animals are big in this Zoo.
We saw an polar bear…
and some swimming penguins.

The last animal we saw was this one – a Panda!! He was so cute – but RikeH had problems to make a good photo of us together.
After visiting the Zoo, we met a trip in a small train around the Castle Schönbrunn. Here is a view from far away.

Vienna , Austria – 29th June 2010
Hello from Vienna again, we made a sightseeing tour in Vienna today. I know most of it from the last year, but it was nice to see it again. This is the famous Stephansdom.
The Vienna Opera.
Two interesting museums – and a nice Statue between both of them – showing Maria-Theresia.
Two other beautiful buildings – I was not able to remember all of the names. But we made nice photos.
I know the names of this buildings – the Townhall and the Burgtheater.
This is the Statue of a famous musician. He is called Richard Strauß, who wrote the song ‚An der schönen blauen Donau‘.
Budapest , Hungary – 30th June 2010
Today we had to get up early – because we will arrive in Budapest- and this should be nice. You see me on the Ship.
Here is one of the biggest buildings – the Parliament.

A big place – for the heroes. I don’t know for which heroes – maybe for the brave ToyVoyager-Heroes?
Budapest is famous for his baths – this is one of it.
We went onto a hill and had a great view over Budapest – what a beautiful city.

Kalosca, Hungary – 1st July 2010
Hello from Hungary, we took a trip called paprika and Wine today. We started with this beautiful old house.
Inside were very colorful drawings on the walls.
Here is the red paprika – a nice red – I liked it.

Later we went to another village. There are houses like this full of Wine.
In this barrels they have the Wine.
We bought some wine and drank it at home.

Hello from Serbia, we reached a new country – Serbia – and visited a nice Abbey and the Town Novi Sad. We started with the Abbey of Krusedal.
Inside it was really interesting!
Later we went to Novi Sad – a nice little town with beautiful buildings.

Bukarest , Romania – 5th July 2010
Hello from Romania, we visited a very big house today – it is the Parliament now – and called the Palace of the Parliament. According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the Palace is the world’s largest civilian administrative building, most expensive administrative building, and heaviest building. And you can see me in front of it.
We were not allowed to take photos inside, but here is a look, when we stand on the balcony. A very nice street with many fountains and flowers.
Then we made a tour through the city.
We had a great place – in the first row. And two big boxes with food, water and wine.
Our last stop was next to this beautiful church.
Vilkovo, Ukraine – 6th July 2010
Hello from the Ukraine, we went by a little boat to the Danube Delta today. It was great weather – as always on this trip.

And then we did it – we sailed the Danube. Behind me, you can see the big 0 (really small on the photo). It is the kilometer 0 of the River Danube.
We celebrated it with fish and a wodka!
In the afternoon we made a walk through the village Vilkovo. There are nice Churches…

Now we will travel back to Passau – with some stops, of course.
Rousse, Bulgaria – 8th July 2010
Hello from Bulgaria, we started out trip visiting a Monastery. The rock monastery “St Dimitrii of Basarbovo” is situated in the picturesque valley of the Rusenski Lom River amidst a number of rock cloisters. It lies about 10km away from the town of Rousse and carries the name of a near-by village. First a look out of the garden – and some nice flowers.

Then we went to Ivanovo. The village is famous for the Rock-hewn Church, a Unesco World Heritage Site.
Inside there were wonderful paintings…
and we had a nice view over the Valley.

Hello again from Serbia, we explored Belgrade today. It is the capital and the largest city of Serbia. I’ve been here some days ago, but wanted to have a little walk. First we went to the Fortress.

Bratislava, Slovakia – 12th July 2010
Hello from Slovakia, today we visited our last country in this holiday – there were a lot of it – did you count them? Well – it is Slovakia. We made a walk in Bratislava, a nice town with beautiful buildings. I have been here last year – and it was nice and very hot.
This guy was really funny.
But back to sightseeing.
I loved this tower – it is so beautiful.
Back on the ship it was time to say good-bye to our cabin. RikeH had to pack the bags, we ToyVoyagers sat together and talked and talked and talked – as always, when we sit together.
I really loved this cruise!
Back home a great surprise waited for me. My best friend Murph wrote me a postcard. He is on holiday and visits the sister of RikeH (my aunt Bine – and uncle Holgi) – and it seems to be a lot of fun. Thanks Murph.

I really would love to drive with it, but I am too small.
So I decided to relax and take a nap.
Salem, Germany – 31st July 2010
We looked around on the table and found Salad, too.
Dörte worked hard.
Hey – it looked yummy – and it was delicious.
Really yummy – and we all ate too much.
Later we took a walk – and had a look over the Campsite.
We made a rest and were allowed to choose an ice-cream.
I had this one – called Spaghetti Ice.
It was a great day – we said goodbye to Dörte.
At home we had to say goodbye to snakey, too. Snahey will go to Turkey now.
We gave her a big hug.
I talked with Snakey – we had such a nice time together, I will miss her.
I hope that Snakey will have a great time in Turkey.

Hello from Sülfeld, Nori and Captain Caramel will leave today and travel to their next hosts. Before they jumped into their envelopes, we talked a lot.
We were really sad to go different ways now – we had so much fun together.
I will miss both of them…

I miss my friends.
But fortunately other bunnies are living here in the house – and they came to stay with me on the armchair until new guests will arrive. They are Kleinohrhase and Kleiner Kumpel. (Yes, Kleiner Kumpel is a twin of SunnyHH.)

Then I had something delicious to drink – called KiBa.
and I helped Grandma to eat Currywurst with Pommes.
After it we made a walk through Lübeck. This is the house where the Buddenbrooks lived.

Later we went to the Holsten Gate. It was on the German Bills some years ago.
There was a Miniature of Lübeck.

Then we went into a restaurant – the Balutschistan. They serve food from Pakistan there. First I had a beer.
then this delicious food.
I ate so much!
After it we went to visit another TV – called Dörte.
We helped her to find a new host. She only travelled with her Mum until now – but now she will travel around, too.
Then we had a look, how Dörte lives. A funny guy is standing here…
…and some friendly pigs.
She loves candles.
In one corner there are many animals from Africa.

I introduced him to Pippi and fai.
Surprise – Murph gave me a present – although it is not my birthday.
I opened it – a beautiful box….
… with sweets in it. Thanks a lot Murph!
But then it was time to party – first we had delicious salads.
Look – I ate all of this.
After the lunch the postman came – he brought a little parcel – with Sweet Mimi[. A beautiful Bunny-Girl !!! I gave her a warm welcome. It is a pleasure to be the host for another bunny.
I introduced her to the others.
No time to talk – it is a party – time for the cakes.
I chose this yummy cake.
After this, we had to say good-bye to Murph – he will stay with RikeH’s sister. We gave him a big hug.
I went outside with him. He showed me his new car. The same color as Murph. This is cool.
I was a little sad that he drove away – but he has so much fun with Bine and Holger.
When they were away I looked around – and see, what happened. Many storks flew over our house – and landed on the houses of our neighbours. Can you see them?
There were eight of them, RikeH told me that they strarted their trip to Africa. Tomorrow we will start a one-week-holiday. I will write soon. And Murph – if you read this – it was great to meet you!!!!
Altenau, Germany – 23rd August 2010
Hello from the Harz Mountains, Yesterday we went to a Centre of Otter. Here you see all of us with a funny statue of two playing Otters.
Later we saw real otters – in the lake behind me. Can you see them?
Here they show how far the Otters could spring, if they would be as large as human. I am not sure how far I could spring, but I am a Bunny – and we can jump about 10 meters, I think.
in the evening we arrived in Altenau – our place to stay for this week. It is in the Harz mountains in Germany.
Today we explored the village – it was not so much to see, but here is the church.
Inside the tourist information I talked with this Deer. Normally he lives outside, but today he had some questions about walks around the Village.
There was a little River in the Centre.
Later we went home and spent the rest of the day talking and having fun.
Goslar, Germany – 24th August 2010
Hello from Goslar, We went to a city called Goslar today. It is situated in Lower Saxony and really old. The Old Town of Goslaris an UNESCO World Heritage Site. We started our tour in front of the Mediaeval Imperial Palace (Kaiserpfalz).
In 1254 the Great Holy Cross was founded as an almshouse for the town’s needy. Now it is a museum.
Then we went to the Marketplace. Behind me you can see the Town-Hall.

This statue is so funny!!! I just wasn’t able to decide what would be the better place!
The last nice buildings are called the Broad Gate. Wonderful.

Altenau, Germany – 25th August 2010
Hello from Altenau, Rain – we sat here – and saw the rain.
No problem for us – ToyVoyagers always are happy – and we decided to explore the flat.
First we saw this butterfly.
It was not so cold – otherwise we could have used this fireplace.
We played two games. The first one was with many numbers.
Then we played a bigger game – called ‚Tore der Welt‘. It is difficult, so
Mimi and I played together – and Pippi and fai played together.
The other two won, but we all had a lot of fun.
In the evening it was time to party. When RikeH and Thomas were away, we found
these two little bottles.
Well, the bottles were full and the glasses empty – we should change this.
After some hours – the glasses were empty – Mimi took a closer look.
Nothing to see – maybe I will have more success?
No – everything is empty… Bad luck for all of us.
Oups – RikeH was coming back. She looked at us – and was not that amused.
I had fun. But I am a little worried about RikeH words : We will see us tomorrow….

Altenau, Germany – 26th August 2010
Hello from Altenau again, Ouch! My head!!! I had a headache. It was awful. RikeH helped all of us – and gave us cold towels for our heads.
Later we had some coffee and some medicine.
We decided to stay inside, relax on the couch and do nothing.
But RikeH told us that fresh air is the best for us today. So we walked with her to the Village.
We went into the spa gardens.
Normally the music is playing here – not today. But this is okay – loud sounds are awful for my head today.
These guys are funny – and quiet.
This was enough for today. I wanted to go home – no loud conversations today.
There must have been something wrong with the drinks yesterday.
Altenau, Germany – 27th August 2010
Hello from the Harz again! Another nice day in Altenau. RikeH wanted to visit the Kräuterpark yesterday, but we ToyVoyagers wanted to go home. So we went in the park today. It is the biggest park of spices of the World. Wow! Here you see me in front of a lot of spices.
There was a beautiful building. In the building we learnt a lot about spices.
Later we had a rest – and talked a lot.
At the end there was a wonderful small waterfall.
It was a really interesting day!
Bad Harzburg, Germany – 28th August 2010
Hello from Bad Harzburg, we drove to a nice little town today – Bad Harzburg. The first interesting things we saw were these two horsemen.
There are beautiful old buildings.
In the middle of the city we found this fountain of youth.There are funny people on it.
Next to the fountain we met this friendly bunny – and talked to him.
Look – what a beautiful hat!
There was a nice lady on a Donkey on the other side of Bad Harzburg.
On our way back we stopped in Torfhaus. In the background you see the Brocken –
the highest point of the Harz with 1141 m.
There was a big monument in Torfhaus.
There is a sentence written in 20 languages. Can you read some of it?
We are ready to walk onto the Brocken…
But this friendly wolf told us that the weather will be rainy – so we decided to drive home.
Tomorrow is the last day of our holiday. I would love to stay here for many more weeks.
Uelzen, Germany – 29th August 2010
Hello from Uelzen, It was our last holiday-day and it was time to drive home to Sülfeld. When we looked out of the window we saw some deers – this was funny.
We stopped in Uelzen – it is famous for its station. The original station was renovated for Expo 2000
following plans by the Austrian artist and architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser.I really liked it.

Back home in Sülfeld there was a new guest – Peachy Chai. I gave him a warm welcome!

Bad Oldesloe, Germany – 4th September 2010
Here I stood in front of the Townhall.
This is the church near to the city centre.
There are many nice old houses.
And I really loved this view.

This beech marten looked so nice, but RikeH’s Mum told me that they sometimes live in the houses of the humans, and the humans don’t really like it.
The wild boars were really funny.
I saw a wonderful roe.
Maybe you cannot see them so well, but there were many storks.
Can you see, who is this?
Yes it was a badger, but a really tired badger.
I talked with this friendly sheep. She told me that some relatives of me are living here.
So I went to visit them.
After the long walk we all relaxed on this monument.

Hamburg, Germany – 11th September 2010
Then I introduced him to the others – and we talked a lot.
Today I drove with him to Hamburg. We arrived there and took the first photo in front of this great house – called the Fischauktionshalle.
Then we went along the River Elbe. Can you see the submarine behind me?
They repair a big cruise ship – called Europa. I would love to travel on it.
A warship from Brazil visited the Port.
I don’t know, why there were sea gulls here – we are not next to the sea.
Many people drove on these nice ships.
The port was full of tourists, so we decided to drive home. Maybe we will come back another day.
Although the photos looks like it was a dark Autumn Day, we had a lot of sun – and temperatures like in summer.

Hello again, We went to a small town called Malchow. This is the view to the Malchow Lake. We had nice sunshine.
I had a nice cup of coffee and a delicious cake.

Waren, Germany – 19th September 2010
Ahoi from the MS Stadt Malchow, We made a trip on a boat to another town, called Waren. Our trip lasted two hours.
This is the Müritz – the biggest Lake of Germany, that only belongs to Germany.
Far away you can see Waren.
I talked with this friendly wooden guy.

Wismar, Germany – 20th September 2010
Hello from Wismar, Today we went back home and stopped in a town called Wismar. This is the centre of the old town is the huge Market Place, the largest in Germany (10,000 square metres). The square’s focal point is the Wasserkunst, an elaborate wrought-iron fountain imported from Holland in 1602.
The northern side of the square is occupied by the Town Hall, built in neoclassical style in 1817–1819.
Another notable building in the square is an ancient Gothic warehouse called Alter Schwede (The Old Swede),
erected around 1380.
The 80 m high tower church of St Mary (Marienkirche) is the only remainder of the original Brick Gothic edifice, built in the first half of the 13th century. It suffered heavy damage in World War II, and was deliberately destroyed in 1960 under the East German Communist government.
Then we went to the old port. In the background you can see the Water Gate.
And here is a view of the harbour.
I walked over a bridge with 4 pigs on it – I loved this funny one most.
[tv]Bernd the Bread[/tv] is really famous in Germany. He is a TV-Star. Back home we saw one of his shows in the TV.

Hamburg, Germany – 28th September 2010

Today we went to Hamburg. I wanted to show the new guest an interesting house – here it is – the Levantehaus.
A nice entrance.
Just better – some wild animals.
But look there it is – a wonderful Rhino. Just like Timothy. Really inside the house.
Next to him, there are other strange animals.
A nice window in the top of the house.
We went upstairs to get closer to the Rhino and we talked a lot.
This was really great. Later we went back home – in the station we saw a lot of trains – this is the fastest in Germany called ICE train.
This was our train – not so fast.
We went upstairs to have a better look.
The train was very modern.
I watched out of the window – it was dark outside.

The weather was nice – and we went to Hamburg. We are on our way!
We went into the city park. There were nice flowers.
There is a big lake in the Park, but it was too cold to swim in it.
Look – the tree has a wonderful color.
This is a really big lawn, many people were there – played games and flew kites.
The last thing we saw was the Planetarium – a really nice building.
Bad Segeberg, Germany – 16th October 2010
This is a really funny fountain with a man on it. But the sun was in the wrong direction, so you cannot see it that good. Fortunately we were able to see it.
Next to it there were beautiful flowers – I had to sit next to the flowers!

Then we walked up a hill and had a great view of the theatre where they play stories of Karl May in the summer.
Some minutes later I had this view over the city and the big lake of Segeberg.

Yes, we had a chocolate fondue.
First we heat the cream.
Then I put the chocolate into it.

The first one was a grape.
Then a piece of banana.
So many fruits – chocolate fondue seems to be very healthy. Well, I am ready.
But it was so yummy. It was one life mission of Timothy – great to help!

Well, we went outside and stopped at the first house we found. It seems to be winter? A funny snowman. Can you see me in my costume?
The door opened and we sang a song – and recited a poem.
Good luck for us – we got sweets.
Well – it was a rainy day – so we decided to go back onto our armchair.
We put away our costumes – well – not everybody did it. Maybe a real ghost – we all were very curious.
Fortunately not – it was a new ToyVoyager here – called Hoots. We were very surprised, because we didn’t know that he would come. He was invited more than 6 weeks ago…
Of course I gave him a warm welcome.
RikeH told us that we should eat something normal, before eating all the candys, so we had some burgers.
I shared mine with Timothy.
It was yummy. We will spend the rest of the day looking out of the window – and watching the ghosts outside.

before we fly to Vietnam, we had a stop in Frankfurt. Here you see me in front of the main station.

Hello from Vietnam, After a really long flight we arrived in Hanoi. We got our Visas and went to the hotel to relax. Later in the afternoon we made a walk. Look, this is our Hotel.
There are many motor scooter and motorbikes on the streets.
Back in the Hotel we had a delicious cocktail.
In our room we have a fruit basket. But I don’t know all the fruits. Maybe someone can
help me?
Before we went into the bed it was time to go into the bathroom. So many nice things
for me – I will be a very clean ToyVoyager!
Hanoi, Vietnam – 16th November 2010
Hello friends of Asia, today we made some sightseeing. We started with a very important place for the people of Vietnam. The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. We were not allowed to take pictures inside, but from the outside.
After it we walked around the area – this ist the Presidental Palace.
Here you see the House on stilts, where Ho Chi Minh lived from 1958 to 1969.
Then we went to two more religious places. First to the One Pillar Pagoda.
Then to the Temple of Literature – a Temple of Confucius. And it was Vietnam’s first University, too. One of the places there.
This is a Statue of Confucius.
This statue shows the king, who founded the Temple.
Back in the hotel we had a delicious cake – and I drank a Hot Chocolate.

Hanoi to Sapa, Vietnam – 16th November 2010

Hello from Sapa, today in Sapa we made a long walk. This is a ricefield – but the harvest already was over.
This was our way – we went this one down.
We went into the house of one family living here – the house was not big – and there are 21 people living in it.
Later we saw this nice waterfall.

I found wonderful flowers.
We wanted to start a second walk onto a hill in the afternoon, but it was too foggy –
so we stayed at home…
… and had a nice time in front of the fireplace.
Sapa , Vietnam – 18th November 2010
Hello from Sapa, today we made another walk in the surrounding of Sapa.We visited two villages of two tribes – the Black H’mong and the Dzay People. We were really interested in seeing the rice terraced fields. We made the first photo as soon as we saw the fields, because it was very misty here.
Some minutes later we saw some more houses.
It was exciting – can you see the buffalos in the fields – they were on they ways, too,
and they are really big. We were a little afraid of them.
This was inside the village.
We didn’t want to make close photos of the people here – but this is a photo of
the children in the school – having a sports lesson.
In the evening we jumped into the train back to Hanoi and had a delicious dinner in
the train.
Hanoi, Vietnam – 19th November 2010
Hello from Hanoi again, we were lazy today – hanging out in the hotel. Only once we made a short walk to visit this nice Pagoda next to the hotel.
I loved this yellow building. It was built in the same year as someone I know was born…
I learnt some strange signs.
It is still a temple today.
Look – there are funny trees growing here.
Tam Coc , Vietnam – 20th November 2010
Hello from a river, it was time for a boat-trip today. We went to Tam Coc wharf, got on the boat and enjoyed the nice riding along the river through 3 tunnel caves.
This was inside one of the caves.
It was dark inside, but of course I wasn’t afraid.
There were people working on the river.
I loved the beautiful stones.
We had a lot of fun.

And there were these nice trees next to the river. Just like the one yesterday in Hanoi.
When we were back – I saw a buffalo again, I really like them.
I love to travel and always want to be a good host. But I saw horrible things, when I
watched out of the window, I saw other animals travelling here – and I am sure that
they don’t have so much fun as we have.
Halong Bay, Vietnam – 21st November 2010
Hello from Halong Bay, Well, today we started on another boat – much bigger than the one from yesterday. I will show you the photo later. This was the view from the boat. There are many – around 2000 – hills in the sea – now little islands. The weather was nicer than it looks like on the photos.
I really loved the view.
When we went nearer to the islands, we could see that there are green trees on the islands.
We made a stop at the Titop Island. It has his name by a Russian called Titov.
We climbed up the hill and had this nice view. You can see our boat behind me –
it is the second one from the right with one sail.
we went back and sat down on the beach. I saw the boat from here, too.
Only sitting on the beach was boring – so Huhn and I decided to make something exciting. Look:
This was fun!
Back on the boat – here is a view of our cabin.
I looked out of the window and saw another boat.
And a nearby island.
Later we went onto the boat deck – and I found a place next to the flag of Vietnam.
One hour later we visited Cua Van – the largest floating fishing village in Halong Bay.
There are about 130 floating houses and about 600 people live and work in the village.

In the evening we spent some days on the deck drinking Cocktails – what a great day!
Halong Bay, Vietnam – 22nd November 2010
Hello from the Halong Bay again, another great day on the boat. This was the nice view I had in the morning.
Here are the sails on our boat.
We were on the way to a surprise cave. You can see the entrance behind me.
We went to the island with a small boat and had a great view to our boat and a sister boat.
We crossed another floating fishing village – but smaller than the one yesterday.

I loved this place!
We went back to our boat.
We relaxed in the cabin…
…and said goodbye to the Halong Bay.
Hue, Vietnam – 23rd November 2010
Hello from Hue, I am in the Middle of Vietnam now. The town is called Hue and it is an ancient Capital city of many original historical vestiges. First we vistited the Citadel. Here I am in front of the Main Gate.
After it we passed this nice gate.
RikeH and Thomas learnt a lot about the history – I prefered playing in this small tree.
The next photos were taken inside the Forbidden Purple City.The royal family lived here – and this was the theatre.
Here you see me in front of the old library.
We visited nice other places – and this colorful gate.
Behind me is the Temple for the King who lived here.
There are funny dragons like this one everywhere – they stand for power.
Hue, Vietnam – 24th November 2010
Hello from Hue again, today we will go by boat on the Parfume River. We went on a boat like this on the photo.
This was one view over the River.
This is the Thien Mu Pagoda (also known as The Heavenly Lady pagoda).
Here is a wonderful gate – with funny Statues in it. Can you see them?
Later we saw the Pagoda from another side.
This is the Happy Buddha. I likes his smile.
Another guard – I loved his face.
Then we went to another place – Tu Duc King’s Tomb. A big place – not only with his tomb –
it was built many years before he died – and he loved to stay here – writing poems.
This big building was in front of his tomb.
There were Statues on the way. Guardians, a horse and an elephant.
Later we went to the Temple for the King.
There were many more buildings – but many were destroyed – as you can see here.
Hue, Vietnam – 25th November 2010
Hello from the Hotel, we have a lazy day in the nice hotel today. In the morning we played in the beautiful room. First we jumped on the couch.
Then we went out onto the balcony.
I shared the rocking chair with Huhn.
Then we all took a nap.
For lunch I had delicious fruits – given by this nice lady.
In the afternoon we went into the garden. I climbed up a palm tree.
Then I went to the pool.
This was the second pool here. Nice, too.
We relaxed next to the big pool – and talked a lot about our adventures here in Vietman for a while.
Then I went back to the room. Here is another view of the pool.
This is the house where we have our breakfast each morning.
I found this nice green plant.
Oups…
It hurts!!! RikeH brought me back to the room soon – and helped me.
Because I was so brave – I got some sweets. Now I am happy again.
Hoi An, Vietnam – 26th November 2010
Hello Friends, we will travel from Hue to Hoi An today. This will be a long way by car, but we hope to see interestings things on the way. We stopped at a beach – but I didn’t really like it.
We drove over some mountains and stopped on one pass and had nice views. This was the direction to Danang.
There was a Gate on the Pass.

Then we went to Danang and visited the Cham Museum. Isn’t this elephant funny?

Before we left the Museum we found these nice flowers.
The last thing we visited were the Marble Mountains. We had to went up the hill –
many steep steps. But it was worth it. A nice pagpda.

Hoi An, Vietnam – 27th November 2010
Hello from Hoi An, today it is time to see the ancient city of Hoi An. We started with the Chinese Assembly Halls. Chinese people met there to make important decisions – and there is a Temple inside, too. This is the Gate.
In front of the Temple we found this dragon.
See the red thing – it is a big incense stick – it lasts 2-3 months! People write cards with their wishes and put them into it.
Look – the chinese Wall – but it is only a small one.
We walked along the river and saw a nice colorful dragon on it.
We love to go by boat – so we were on a boat again.
This is a normal ferry here – many people sit and stand on it. We had our own boat.
These are boats of the fishermen – the boats have eyes – this was funny.
Back home in the hotel I had a delicious Hoi An Pancake.
Tomorrow I will go to a cooking class – and cook it by myself.
Hoi An, Vietnam – 28th November 2010
Hello from Hoi An again, it is time for the cooking class today. But first I will show you the hotel, we live at the moment. I hope it is not too boring, but I like the different kinds of the rooms. Here I am on the bed with my friends.
This is the place for sitting, talking and having tea.
I relaxed on the terrace…
with a nice view over the river.
We went over the market to buy some food for the cooking class. Here are many fruits.
The women have funny hats.
I would love to have the carrots!
The lesson started. The Chief cooked in front of us – and there were a mirror, so
that all people and ToyVoyager could see, what she is doing.
This were Fresh Rice Paper Rolls of Shrimps. Really delicious.

Saigon, Vietnam – 29th November 2010
Hello from Saigon, this time we decided to travel from Hoi An to Saigon by plane. It was a really new one.
I was happy, because I had a seat at the window.
When we arrived in Saigon we did some sightseeing and started with the Reunification-Palace.
We were able to see some rooms.This was a big meeting-room.
This was a smaller living-room.
They had a garden – on the second floor – this was strange.
And this helicopter. Maybe I will have my own helicopter later, too?
Later we visited this church – called Notre Dame – it was built by the French – only
with things from France.
When we arrvied at our hotel room – I was very surprised. We have a great view over the city.
Especially when it went dark.
And we have our own garden – in the 7th floor – much better than in the palace…
Vinh Long, Vietnam – 30th November 2010
Hello from the Cu Chi Tunnels, we started the day driving to the Cu Chi Tunnels. The Vietnamese People built these tunnels during the Vietnam War many years ago. First we learnt a lot about the tunnels – and where they were.
This is one entrance to the tunnels – very small – even for a ToyVoyager.
They built strange traps. I don’t like wars!
These are some of the Vietnamese People, who were in the War.
Then a funny thing happened. We went under the ground and tried one tunnel. It was
smaller in the past – and very dark – you cannot see it because of the flash.
After this experience we ate something delicious. It is a root, that the People ate
at that time – I liked it.
Here you can see us with the buttons, every visitor got.
We continued our trip and went to church of a sect, called Cao Dai. The religion is a mix of Buddhist, Taoist,
Confucianism and Chistianity.

Later we joined the daily noontide ceremony.
Back out in the nature I enjoyed the sun in this nice plant.
The People here are crazy when they drive on the streets, I tried to take some
photos, but they don’t show the reality.
Can Tho, Vietnam – 1st December 2010
Hi friends, Imagine that – I am on a river again. This time it is a really big one – called Mekong. We started in a small city – with a nice church.
There were many boats here.
We went into a house where they make caramel candys.
This is Snake-Wine. Strange, isn’t it?
Well there was more to see – we went faster.
The Mekong-River is really wide!
On the other side we went on a canal in an Island. I loved the Palm Trees.
Then we changed the boat and went on a row boat. This was nice and quiet.
Later it was time for lunch. We had this Elephant Ear Fish – it was yummy!
In the afternoon we relaxed in our hotel.
There were nice flowers in the garden.

Can you see the animal there? It is a Gecko – many of them are living in this part
of Vietnam.
We found this wonderful fruit basket in our room.
I ate one small banana.
Due to some problems we had to change the room – and found ourselves in a Suite – it was
fantastic and had two rooms and a big bathroom. Enough place for all of us!
We had a really good night!
Cai Rang, Vietnam – 2nd December 2010
Hello from Cai Rang, we started early today – it was time to visit the Cai Rang floating market. It is the biggest market here. Of course we took a boat to go there.
People live in houses like this here. I am really happy to live in Germany!
They build a new bridge here.
Here we are on the market – it was so interesting!
On the way back to the hotel we stopped in a factory – where they dry rice.
Then we visited a family, they make rice noodles here.
This was our boat!
This woman came back from the market – her boat full with fruits and vegetables.
This is our new hotel in Saigon – very high.
In the afternoon we made a walk to the Saigon River.
This is the highest building here in Saigon. With a place for helicopters to land on.

Nam Cat Tien National Park, Vietnam – 3rd December 2010
Hello from a National Park It was time to go into the Wilderness. So we jumped into the car and went to the National Park Nam Cat Tien. There are many wild animals – including crocodiles. Help – there are three around me!
Just kidding … these were sweets – but you didn’t really recognize it at the beginning,
I am sure.
Well – we arrived in the Park- and had to go there by boat. In the afternoon we started a long
walk through the Jungle. There were really big trees.
This was our way.

Look, what RikeH had to wear – these are a kind of big socks out of a thick material,
they were covored with some liquids, because there are leeches living in the forest –
and they wanted to jump onto the human legs and taste their blood. We didn’t wear it,
because RikeH was so nice to carry us all the way.
We had to sleep the night under this mosquito-net.
We get up early the second day – and I wanted to show our house.
There was a tree with funny fruits next to it.
In the way back to Saigon we saw this :
People are drying their corns and rice on the street – really strange, isn’t it?
Saigon, Vietnam – 5th December 2010
Hello from Saigon, We had a day without a guide in Saigon today. But we are in Vietnam for 3 weeks now, so we can do some sightseeing on our own. We started in the postoffice to buy the last stamps for postcards.
The building is really wonderful inside.
This is the church Notre Dame – I already saw it some days ago.
Then we went into the botanical garden to see some nice flowers. But it was more a Zoo than
a garden, so we met some not travelling animals. I liked this hippo.
I told him a really funny joke and he laughed a lot.
This was a clock out of plants.
We met a white tiger – and were so near to him.
Enough adventure for this afternoon – I relaxed in a beautiful tree.
Back in the hotel we did some sightseeing out of our window. This is the opera.
The building with the green on the roof is the town hall.
And we saw the Saigon River in the other direction.
In the evening we went outside to take some more photos. Our hotel behind the opera.
They decorated the hotel for the Christmas Season. Really colorful.
I went into the Bar with Rike and Thomas to celebrate the last evening in Vietnam.
Tomorrow we will go to Cambodia.
Angkor Thom, Cambodia – 6th December 2010
Hello from Cambodia, we arrived here – with a delay, because they had to change a tyre of our plane – but it was still enough time to visit one Temple – called Angkor Thom. Here you see me on the bridge to it.
There were nice statues on it.
We saw these wonderful dancers.
There were long walls – with so many people on it, carved into the stone.
I loved this place.
Isn’t it wonderful – there are faces on the towers.
Can you see me under the nice face?

Then we went to the street of elephants.
Another nice women – next to the elephants.
I hope that you are not bored about the hotels – but I must show you this one. Look – we had fruits, flowers and a bottle of wine for our welcome. Cambodia is great – and the Victoria Hotel, too.
I will sleep here at night.
and stay here during the day – when we are not visiting the Temples.

And I should not forget to say – it is Nikolaus-Day today – and we got sweets of my Grandma – thanks a lot!
Siem Reap, Cambodia – 7th December 2010
Hello from Cambodia, today there were some more Temples to visit. We started with the biggest here in Angkor – it is called Angkor Wat. Maybe you already heart of it? Well, here I am in front of it!
On the walls are a lot of stories – and I learnt a lot about the old history.
This was very steep…
…but it was worth the way!
I visited a tired Buddha.
This lady was so beautiful.
And this statue has many more than one head!
A view back – it was great!
Just another Statue on our way to the car. She had a lot of arms.
Now we were really far away – the place was nice!
But there were another nice Temple for this morning. It is called Ta Prohm.
It is well-known for the big trees!
Really strange – they live on the old building.
Here you can see the big roots!
It was a great morning – and we went back to the hotel to relax!
In the afternoon we had some more miles to drive – the next Temple was Banteay Samre.
The carvings here were wonderful – and the stone had another color!
Funny and strange creatures were the guardians.
I relaxed in the sun – and other tourists were laughing about RikeH – can you understand this?
Well – it was a nice place, too. But then it was time to go back to the hotel.
Siem Reap, Cambodia – 8th December 2010
Hello from Cambodia again, Today we drove to a big lake. And I wanted to show you, how the peple here live in the villages. Well – it is not easy to make photos out of a driving car…there are palm trees here.
I want to have a photo with a house…
…there are too many trees here.
This is better – with two cows.
But this is the best – they live in stilt-houses like this.
There are rice-fields around the streets.
And gates – on the streets to Temples.
But it was time to be on a ship again!
We visited a floating village here in Cambodia.
The Temple here is not a floating building.
But all the other houses, where the people are living.
Birds like this place, too.
On the way back we saw this water-buffalo. A really big animal.
Phnom Penh, Cambodia – 10th December 2010
Hello Friends,
I am in the Capital City of Cambodia, called Phnom Penh. We started the day – visiting the Royal Palace. The first interesting thing was this Banana plant – with so many small bananas.
But then we saw the beautiful buildings.
This friendly snake with so many heads was in front of one building.
This golden product belongs to the king, but I don’t know, why.
These buildings are called stupa – the ashes of dead people are in the stupas.
The garden around was so wonderful with many nice plants.
I found a nice little lake – just right for a little rest.
Look – these flowers belong to a tree – they only blow one day in the morning, after it they die off.
Later that day we visited the national museum. The building was very nice.
There was a big elephant!
And a smaller one!
Phnom Penh, Cambodia – 12th December 2010
Hello Friends, Another sunny and hot day in Cambodia. It was really hot – around 34 degree Celsius, but Rike and Thomas decided to visit a place called Wat Phnom. We went along the river.
We passed another nice Temple.
People work on their small boats on the river.
This is the Place Wat Phnom. The city started here many many years ago, when a woman met a Buddha at this place.

We went inside the Temple.

Back home the others watched TV.It was a very big TV.
We had some fun!
But I told them that it would be better to go outside. We had our own pool.
It was great to sit next to it.

Look – there were wonderful green trees here.
We finished the day – and our holiday – sitting in the garden and talking a lot.
I really loved this holiday. Tomorrow we will fly back to snowy Germany.

We made a break…
…but it was very cold – we sat in the snow.
The animals are safe in this place – this is nice.
So many snow – where is the sun?
These funny guys stood in front of our house.
And I found this nice plant in the garden – I love the red fruit on it.
At home we sat in front of the candles – it was so nice – and much warmer than outside.
Christmas will come soon – and we will have a tree inside the house again – this is strange. I will write more soon.

Look, this is the Christmas Tree of my Grandma.
And we ate this delicious muffins.
Later it was time to meet Santa Claus! But we learnt that he was very busy – and sent us a really good friend. Rudi, the red-nosed reindeer.
We sang some nice Christmas songs for him.
It was a success – and we got our presents!
I got wonderful things.
We had such a great time!
I hope that you all had a great Christmas, too.

They brought some gifts for us – what a surprise.
We played in the Christmas Tree. Can you see me?
We talked a lot – then Murph told us that he will leave us, to spend some more time with Bine and Holgi. We gave him a big hug.
Today we heart someone knocking at the door. It is Archer. He came all the way from Shanghai and starts his life as a ToyVoyager here in Germany. Of course I gave him a warm welcome. He helped me to complete one of my life missions – he is the 5th bunny visiting me.
Then I introduced him to the others.
We told him a lot about our adventures. I wish all of you a good start in the Year 2011.
